gce_results2 An Oxford University student is being investigated for allegedly faking his A level grades. His reportedly claimed he had 10 As in fact he had only 3 As.

Straight A student

A report in the student newspaper, Cherwell, claimed a first-year student "forged parts of his UCAS application".

The university has not confirmed the identity of the student or if whether he had been suspended.

But Daily Mail newspaper has identified Parmbir Gill, who won a place at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University to study economics and management, as the student under investigation for faking A level results.

Oxford University spokesperson said "an allegation a student made false claims as part of the admissions process" was being investigated.

Mr Gill got 3 As in his A level re-take during the the gap year.
